A touch of lavender essential oil adds aromatherapy benefits while providing natural antibacterial properties.

Perfect for: All skin types, especially sensitive or dry skin, makeup removal, daily cleansing routine.

Ingredients You'll Need

  • 1 tbsp cosmetic clay of choice - Purifies pores and draws out impurities (kaolin for sensitive skin, bentonite for oily skin)
  • 1 tbsp powdered oats - Provides gentle physical exfoliation and soothes skin
  • 2 tbsp whole milk - Rich in lactic acid and moisturizing proteins
  • 1 drop lavender essential oil - Adds calming aromatherapy and antibacterial benefits

Pro tip! Make your own powdered oats by grinding old-fashioned oats in a coffee grinder until fine.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Preparation: If you don't have powdered oats, simply grind regular oats in a coffee grinder until they reach a fine powder consistency. Choose your clay based on your skin type - kaolin for sensitive or dry skin, bentonite or green clay for oily or acne-prone skin, pink clay for inflamed skin

Step 1: Combine the cosmetic clay and powdered oats in a clean bowl, whisking them together to create an even dry base mixture.

Step 2: Slowly add the whole milk, stirring continuously to prevent lumps from forming. The mixture should have a smooth, creamy consistency similar to a thick face mask.

Step 3: Add the single drop of lavender essential oil and mix thoroughly to ensure even distribution throughout the cleanser.

Step 4: Let the mixture sit for 2-3 minutes to allow the oats to soften slightly and the ingredients to meld together.

Application: Using your fingertips, massage the cleanser over your face in gentle upward, circular motions, avoiding the delicate eye area. The oats will provide gentle exfoliation while the clay and milk work to cleanse and nourish.

Step 5: Allow the cleanser to sit on your skin for a minute to let the clay work.

Step 6: Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water, using gentle circular motions to help remove all traces of the cleanser. Pat your skin dry with a clean, soft towel.

The Results You Can Expect

Your skin will feel clean, soft and comfortable. The gentle exfoliation from the oats will leave your complexion smooth, while the milk ensures your skin stays moisturized and supple. Plus, the subtle lavender scent will help you feel relaxed and pampered during your skincare routine!
